It’s that time of year again! The release of FESTBIER indicates that the spring season is arriving, bringing Fruhlingsfest celebrations and the best excuse you’ll ever have to enjoy a clean, refreshing German lager.

FESTBIER is a traditional weisn style lager – more complex in aroma and flavor than a standard pilsner but not as malty or sweet as a marzen (ABV: 6.0%). Wiesn (not to be confused with weisse) means “the meadow” which is a reference to the location where Oktoberfest is held in Munich, and is a local Bavarian slang for the style. We brew this twice a year, for spring (Fruhlingsfest), and fall (Oktoberfest).

This is a great year round lager, perfect for crisp or sunny days. It’s a San Diego favorite and doesn’t last forever, so enjoy it while it’s here and join us for Fruhlingsfest at our Pt.Loma location Saturday 4/27- Sunday 4/28.
