Why is the brewery named Eppig?

Eppig is our co-founder Stephanie’s last name. The Eppig family’s brewing roots date back to 1866 in Brooklyn, NY. The team has resurrected the Eppig family business 150 years later and is now brewing in San Diego, CA.

Where is Eppig Brewing located?

Eppig Brewing is located at the corner of El Cajon Blvd. and Ohio Street in North Park, San Diego (3052 El Cajon Blvd. Suite C, San Diego, CA 92104). Enter the parking lot- just look for the beer mural on the building- head to the back of the lot and down the ramp to Eppig Brewing.  Get directions!

Are dogs and kids allowed in the tasting room?

Well-behaved dogs and kids are welcome and must remain with parents at all times.

Can I reserve the tasting room for my next event?

Yes. Our space accommodates up to 45 guests and events are completely customizable. Contact Stephanie@eppigbrewing.com for details.

What the hell is a crowler, and how does it work?

A Crowler is a 32 oz. one-time use, recyclable can. Choose from any Eppig beer, and we’ll fill your Crowler with fresh beer directly off of our taps.  We then cap it using our Crowler sealing machine.

Do you fill growlers?

We fill 32 oz., 64 oz., and 1 gallon growlers to-go.  64 oz. glass and stainless steel growlers are also available for purchase.  Sorry, beer in growlers may not be consumed on-site.

Will you fill a blank growler or growler from another brewery?

We take great pride in the beer we produce. It is of the utmost importance that the quality and integrity of the beer we produce is maintained from the time it leaves the brewery until it is consumed.

We are pleased to fill outside growlers, provided they meet the following criteria:

·       Growler is clean when it is brought in for a refill

·       The container must be sealable using a screw top, cork, flip top, etc.

·       Any and all other brewery emblems, slogans and info must be covered by tape or shrink wrap

Do you sell kegs?

Yes, we sell kegs! 1/2 barrel kegs (15.5 gallons; approximately 120 16 oz. servings) and 1/6 barrel kegs (5.3 gallons; approximately 40 16 oz. servings) are available for purchase.

To reserve your keg, we recommend contacting Eppig Brewing at least 3 days in advance. This will ensure we have the beer variety and keg on-site at the time of pick up. Walk-up keg purchases are accepted, but variety may be limited.

You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase a keg, and provide valid identification upon pick up.  Every keg requires a $100 deposit, refunded when the keg is returned to Eppig Brewing. Kegs must be returned within 90 days.  Keg pumps are not available at Eppig Brewing.

I'm hosting a fundraiser- will Eppig Brewing donate to my event?

We’re grateful to have the opportunity to give back to the community that supports us. We invite non-profit groups to host fundraising events at our tasting room and frequently donate beer to non-profit organizations. We receive many requests and honor as many as possible. Due to ABC restrictions, we are not able to donate gift cards or merchandise. We can only donate beer for your event if:

·       You are a 501c(3) non-profit organization with federal tax ID#

·       You obtain a one-day special event license from the ABC (Type 221)

To be considered, please complete and return this form to Stephanie@eppigbrewing.com.

Do you brew on-site in North Park?

All of our beer is produced on-site in North Park.  The building doubles as our production facility, so you’ll often see our brewers in action when you visit our tasting room. We brew on a 10-barrel Premier Stainless brewhouse with 5 20-barrel fermenters.
